Peter D. Schwartz, Executive Coach

Peter D. Schwartz

Peter Schwartz is a performance coach who specializes in the change process. His coaching approach focuses on “the difference” that makes the difference in individuals and organizations with respect to their desired outcomes in the domains of performance, development and transformation.

In his 30 years of business experience, Peter has held corporate management positions in sales, business development and consulting. For 15 of those years, he was a senior-level manager and entrepreneur in the high-technology industry taking early-stage concepts and companies to maturity. He has skillfully transferred his leadership and development abilities, as well as his talent for inspiring trust and confidence, into corporate leadership facilitation, executive coaching and personal development training.

Peter uses a comprehensive and adaptable approach in working with his clients. He uses a structure that enables him to understand individuals and their worlds sufficiently to design coaching programs that shift their developmental level. His coaching attends to the individual, social, relational and environmental aspects of his client's life/world, since to leave any of these areas unattended can undermine whatever progress occurs for the client in any individual area. It is an integral approach that results in the client developing a deeper, more comprehensive sense of themselves and their place not only in their organization but in the larger world as well.

Apart from being a naturally gifted and intuitive coach, Peter uses advanced coaching technologies from the Cognitive Behavioral Sciences, including Neuro Linguistics and Neuro Semantics. He is a graduate of the Leadership Coaching Certification Program at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. In addition, Peter draws on his life-long interest in mythology and the “ Hero’s Journey” by Joseph Campbell as well as his knowledge of the nature of archetypal dynamics in individuals and organizations to aid in facilitating the change process in his clients.

Peter specializes in helping manufacturers design and implement their federal government contract and channel management programs. He was selected from private industry to serve as a member of the General Services Administration (GSA) Information Technology Industry Government Council. In this capacity, Peter represents the technology industry’s interests in federal government contracting and serves as chairman of one of its prominent subcommittees.
