Keith E. Karas is an HR Business Partner with Tandem Partners. A certified human resources professional, Keith provides on-site HR management services to businesses and non-profit organizations which do not have a full-time HR manager. He has over 15 years of experience in leading the HR function for private corporations as well as governmental organizations, with his most notable service as the HR Director for the Mayor’s Office of Employment Development for the City of Baltimore. As an HR Business Partner, Keith assists clients in leading organizational development initiatives which support strategic business results and link human assets to business outcomes.  Typical services include workforce strategy, employee relations, HR compliance and recordkeeping, recruiting, performance management, training and development and compensation and benefits.

In addition to his career in HR management, Keith served 4 years active duty in the United States Army and an additional 16 years in the Army Reserves, achieving the rank of Sergeant Major. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Concordia College and earned his professional human resources credential (IPMA-CP) from the International Public Management Association for Human Resources. Keith is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, the Chesapeake Human Resources Association, the American Society for Training and Development and the International Public Management Association for Human Resources.
